- NIGDY nie zostawiaj żadnego pytania bez odpowiedzi; w przypadku testów wielokrotnego wyboru, jeśli nie jesteś pewien, która z nich jest trafna, zastosuj metodę eliminacji, w ostateczności - zgaduj lub strzelaj.
- w ostatniej części pisemnej matury z angielskiego, podczas pisania tekstu, upewnij się, że piszesz na temat i odnosisz się do wszystkich czterech punktów zawartych w poleceniu.
- bogactwo językowe jest bardzo ważne i dzięki niemu możesz zdobyć dodatkowe punkty, zachowaj jednak ostrożność. Matura - the school-leaving exam - is the first important exam in a young person’s life. No matter how well you prepare yourself for it, you will feel stressed anyway. What to do to overcome nervousness and score 100%? You will find some tips in the article below.
How to pass matura in English?
How to revise effectively before your school-leaving exam? Here come a few pieces of advice:
- if you haven’t done that in the past several months, it’s high time to looked through the exam papers from the previous years. They are available online together with the answer key and tapescripts of the recordings. You will find the recordings themselves on YouTube.
- all the language skills are based on the knowledge of vocabulary. There are as many as 14 different topics that you are obliged to be familiar with for your matura exam. Look through the vocabulary lists for each of them. You will most likely find them in your textbook.
- don’t try to revise frantically all the grammar just before the exam, it is easy to panic then. Trust yourself and believe that the whole hard work you have done while preparing for matura will bring good results.
- take care of your physical condition during the exam itself - go to bed early, have a decent breakfast, don’t amp up with your friends. Set your alarm clock half an hour earlier and make sure you get your exam on time.

How to make sure you are 100% successful during matura exam in English?
- be extra cautious during the listening part of the exam, especially in case of the extended matura exam. All the answers are usually very similar. While listening, pay attention to synonyms, synonymous phrases and negations.
- ALWAYS read the the instructions very carefully.
- NEVER leave a question unanswered; in case of multiple-choice tests, if you are not sure, which answer is correct, use the method of elimination, as a last resort - take a wild guess.
- during the last part of the written matura exam, while producing a text, make sure that you stay on topic and refer to all four points included in the instruction.
- sophisticated vocabulary and grammar structures are important and may earn you extra points, be careful, though. If you are not confident about your language skills, keep it simple. Use less complicated structures and build short sentences. It will help you avoid making a potential mistake and weaving yourself into a construction that you won’t be able to get out of.
