Tworzenie pytań w mowie zależnej - ćwiczenia

Mowa zależna, w języku angielskim 'reported speech', to sposób przekazywania czyjejś wypowiedzi, nie cytując dosłownie, ale podając jej treść w zmienionej formie. Nie cytujemy dosłownie a przytaczamy wypowiedź w zmienionej formie za pomocą zdania podrzędnie złożonego ze spójnikiem "że". Przy tworzeniu mowy zależnej zmieniają się czasowniki, zaimki i czas. Tworzenie pytań w mowie zależnej polega na przekształceniu bezpośredniego pytania w zdanie pośrednie, przy użyciu odpowiedniego wstępu (np. 'asked' dla pytań) oraz zmianie konstrukcji zdania, tak aby pasowało do kontekstu narracyjnego. W przypadku pytań, należy także dostosować czas wypowiedzi oraz zaimki do kontekstu wypowiedzi pośredniej.

Warto pamiętać o zmianie wyrażeń wskazujących na czas i miejsce, aby pasowały do nowego kontekstu narracyjnego.

Reported speech: She wondered where they had gone the night before.
